snow & fire

here in the south, we freak out over snow. no, i'm serious. we panic. they are calling for a few inches within the next few days, so what do we do? that's right, panic. schools, shops, churches, all closed. oh you wanted bread and milk? not happen'en kiddo. the store shelves are empty.

lately it seems like God has been making my me more aware of the lost people in this world; of the ones whom go to church but don't know God personally. i could go on a rabbit trail here. so i think i will...

WHAT? the Creator wants to know me personally? now THAT is a crazy idea. yet, He does. Blows my mind everyday that the King of Kings wants me. He by no means needs me. He is fully capable of functioning on His own without any of us. Yet, He wants us. Okay, okay, i'm done in my rabbit hole. now back to my point...

there are lost people. there are people headed straight for hell. eternal torment. how can we live with this knowledge and yet go through each day as if nothing was wrong? there is a real blizzard coming. one that will end the present heaven and earth. we, who claim to know Christ, know about the blizzard. yet we sit silent. we go to church. and then we do nothing! nothing! for the advancement of the kingdom! we see stories and hear about the hurting and desperate people of the world and do nothing. it's not that that doesn't touch us. it's not that that doesn't move us. we pray for those people and we say "thank you God that your a father to the fatherless. and you know what God says...He says "remember you call yourself My body." "your hands, those are My hands. your feet, those are My feet."

we freak out over a little snow and ice. my question is: why are we not freaked out for the people who died today and didn't know Christ?
